Norway Trade Fairs established an emergency group as soon as the Corona oubreak was a fact and have since then been in close dialogue with the district public health and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH).

Based on the current situation and the recent government actions, we have decided to reschedule the conference to April 22, 2021.

The health and safety of everyone contributing to the conference is our top priority. It is uncertain how long this will last, and by postponing the conference we want to help get the situation under control.

We’ve worked hard to put together an exciting program for the event, with national and international speakers and thought leaders. As far as possible, we will try to keep the program as is when we relaunch Evolve Arena in April. Either way, we want to make sure the conference has a good, up-to-date and interesting program. At the same time, it is important for us to be relevant for the society we live in. Consequently, we will consider new exciting themes.

On average, Norway Trade Fairs has 50 events a year. Hence, finding a new date is not easy. Nevertheless, we believe that by conducting the conference in the spring it will create a nice framework for the conference.

People’s health is our top priority

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, Norway Trade Fairs, has been in close dialogue with the district public health officer of Lillestrøm, Hedi Anne Birkeland, and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH).

People’s health is our top priority. Our events at Lillestrøm gather 500,000 participants at fairs and conferences every year. We want to make sure that nobody falls ill in connection with our events.  People shall be safe at our premises, says Gunn Helen Hagen, CEO of Norway Trade Fairs.

Engaging topic

We are experiencing a great interest in the topic of the conference. In 24-hours, more than 7 000 listened to our first podcast episode released earlier this week on Nettavisen.no.

Paradoxically, the corona virus makes the conference even more important rising questions such as “Can urban development better safeguard against such pandemics?” or “Is there smart technology that can detect infection at an earlier stage?”

Our collaborators are important

The decision to postpone will have consequences for everyone involved in the conference.

We are in an extreme situation, it is force majeure, but we still want to conduct the conference with the same content and the same partners as originally planned. This means that all partners are welcome as partners and that the speakers are still wanted on stage, says the project manager for Evolve Arena, Frederik Horn.

You will hear from us

The entire team at Evolve Arena will over the next couple of days be in touch with everyone involved, to ensure the best possible solutions.

All tickets sold will be valid on the new date. There is no need to do anything. Any questions can be directed to: support@venyou.no

We apologize to all of you who have been looking forward to the conference 12th of May, and thank you very much for your interest. We look forward to welcoming you on April 22, 2021.
